I think this points out a LARGE problem that we have which is: the press just will not be honest. Trump, and most Republicans, including libertylover, are not opposed to protests, but we adamantly opposed to rioting.

Has President Trump excused the killing of George Floyd? Has he failed to offer condolences? Has he failed to send in the FBI to investigate? Has he condemned actual peaceful protestors?
No, the only thing that I see him commenting on is the need to stop the rioting. And if RINOs want to break with him on that issue, then they can kiss my lily-white backside.

I hope Mitt doesn’t get the idea in his head to run as a third-party candidate. In 2016 the totally unknown Eggs McMuffin (or whatever his name was) got nearly a quarter of the vote in Utah—had he done a bit better he might have tipped Utah into Hillary’s column. A Romney-Mattis ticket might carry Utah, or at least deny its electoral votes to Trump. The only rationale for such a try would be to hurt Trump but Mitt seems open to anything that would hurt Trump.
The Mormons I have known personally have all been fine people, and I am grateful to them for making their millions of genealogical records available for free to non-Mormons, but what is it about Mormon politicians? Harry Reid, Mitt Romney, etc.
