While there might be legitimate discussion to have about police tactics and procedures, I can’t believe there is great support to do away with police departments altogether.

Then Ellen DeGeneres expressed sympathy for persons of color recently she was vilified. They said "You cheapen and dilute the real harm done only to blacks which we are protesting against." "It's only blacks not all persons of color."
Now she has the feeling we all get when some slight non-PC line slips out. I said Latino recently and a FReeper said (helping me) it's now Latinx. I missed the memo.

I recall a number of years ago, there was an article about a high school valedictorian. She was among the Vietnamese boat people, who were escaping the communist takeover. She was 11 years old when she came to America, and didn’t speak any English at that time. Yet here she was, 7 years later, valedictorian of her high school class, and headed to college.
It’s probably politically incorrect to ask questions such as, why isn’t Chinatown a slum like the black ghettos are? Why isn’t Little Saigon a slum?
I can’t wait for the first time one of these guys got in trouble and called 911 and hears “the number you have dialed is no longer in service........”.
