Earlier this week with the pulling of troops from hotels etc. I wonder if the Mayor knows the chatter and is/was trying to not have the Marriot a target rich environment today.

I agree. It just seems incomprehensible to me that the idea of something like this (breaching the WH) is even being considered by someone who isn’t part of a hostile foreign power. A scenario like this one was likely a dream of those who ran the Soviet Union.
I think DC has ample underground structures related to information available from WWII information. There are so many sites scattered throughout the Application Mountains, Application Trail area’s etc. Every direct North - South - West....
