Yes, Thanks to all who saved our nation and way of life by military service in WWII and other wars.

But like me, you are assuming that all under 50 types are rotten-—I am guilty of that often due to encountering them in person or seeing the news stories.

But there are many exceptions and some of them are on FR. In 1968 some of us read None Dare Call It Treason and put it on the shelf next to Barry Goldwater’s Conscience of a Conservative. And we burned no draft cards. Some today are like that.
I will try to remember that.

There are way more good kids than not - based on my encounters over time and even recently. A few others stick out like sore thumbs.

I call it the “safety cone” effect. There could be a beautiful scenic vista in front of us, but put an fluorescent orange safety cone in the middle of it, and we will look at that.

Just my personal account, but I have a 20-something son who is a staunch conservative. Most people his age are liberal. He battles with liberals every day on FB. To his credit, he has red-pilled many of his friends. My younger teen son, every friend he has is conservative. It doesn’t matter if they are homeschooled like he was or public school, Christian or atheist, gay or straight (well he HAD one gay friend who is now straight, long story). Every one of them are furious over what is going on. They are all pro-America, anti-socialist, pro 1st and 2nd amendment, pro-Trump, you name it. He’s tired of being told he is a racist because of crap others do. They are a pretty smart bunch. I don’t know what the difference is between the two generations but it gives me hope.

My younger son told me the other day that the millennials have left them a real mess to clean up. I told him the boomers left quite a bit of mess too. He says that the last great generation was before the 60s, but he feels his generation can put things right. I sure hope so.

I know, a lot of generalizations, but I hope that encourages others. These kids all at home due to the pandemic, even though I have never supported full scale lockdown like happened, it is having the effect that parents eyes are being opened to the garbage they are being taught in school. I read somewhere some 40% of parents want to homeschool now. I hope that’s true.
