The 60s were really a dangerous time in this country’s history.

Wondering how this time compares to then.

Wondering if I’m thinking what my dad must have been thinking.

Of a vintage that i lived through the 60’s.

Difference, you didn’t have the outright assault on police in terms of defunding

There were enough of us whose Fathers and Grandfathers fought in the world wars, and abhorred the uniformed demonstrators.

Many of us are Vets and know how the MSM treated those who served their country during the Vietnam Era.

We served and fought besides all races, creed, religions in real life situations, not these “ coddled” anarchy demonstrations that harm law abiding citizens...

For the most part the 60’s protestors were home grown and not supported by other entities such as Soros et al....

Hope this gives some perspective from an “ old timer”

P.S. My dad was a navy medic at the Normandy Invasion he saw the real horrors of tyranny.

He was still alive seeing the 60’s stuff and commented then that this isn’t what I and others fought for , put our lives on the line , for people to act like fools...

he would be even more disappointed today.

good post. you are of my era.. lots I could share. Im in your camp. I was at Kent State (before the shootings).. pretty apolitical but thorough abhorred the anti vietnam protests, SDS etc. I was young and not registered but oozed at this point into my parents Democratic party. I infact was at my junior college the head of the LBJ for president group and invited (and attended) the inaugural. a few years later before my first vote, i saw the light and never looked back.

Im sad at what is happening but have often thought that our glorious republic will not survive forever and maybe sooner than we would like. DJT offers hope for redemption and hope and a spiritual inspirtation that is perhaps more important than the political The evil in this world is powerful.. but the God we serve is more so - but all this plays into the end times. Are you ready? Im so glad Im older n dirt and won’t have to face the future (scardy cat here).. I feel badly for the youth who will
