NEW YORK, June 5 (Xinhua) -- Governor of the U.S. state of New York, Andrew Cuomo, announced a reform agenda to address police brutality, especially against minority communities, following the death of Minnesota man George Floyd.
The "Say Their Name" agenda will make prior disciplinary records of law enforcement officers transparent, ban chokeholds and make false race-based 911 reports a hate crime, said Cuomo at his daily briefing.
Meanwhile, the state's attorney general will work as an independent prosecutor for deaths of unarmed civilians caused by law enforcement, he said.
"Mr. Floyd's murder was the breaking point of a long list of deaths that were unnecessary and abusive, and people are saying 'enough is enough,'" said Cuomo.

Governing while stupid should be a crime.
The ability of the CCP to enforce their will upon the Chinese people is something our radical left dream of.
However, history shows a few things happen after the “mob” takes power. The elite among the mob quickly turn on their former comrades because nobody likes protestors and free speech is a thing of the past.
The mob elite also find out it is easier to protest than it is to actually run a nation so they generally tank the whole thing because their fanciful ideas don’t work.
The “poor” become poorer. The connected rich become wealthier. The non-connected rich are robbed. The middle class disappears. The whole thing goes to crap - see Venezuela.
Melanin content must be checked before each arrest. If any melanin is present, suspect shall be released immediately even if he is eating live babies
Do it!!! Get rid of the police and NEVER stop a person of color for a car infraction-EVER. Let them loot-everything free. See how long the store owners stick around. Also get rid of ambulances and fire engines. They will be called in fraudulently and trucks burned and employees killed, Leave them to themselves (as scripture says). Chaos will ensue quickly. Also get rid of 911 since there will be no one to respond. Officials should get rid of their security since they cannot have what I do not have.
The Muslims will be more than happy to fill that void. Gonna suck for the liquor stores, though.
And even if one did, how would those ideas be received?

See, I’ve been telling that to my beloved husband.
He thinks they cannot/will not accomplish that type of local governance.
I keep telling him a law is a law is a law only if enforced.
Even then, it’s iffy because there’s at least one/two/three SCOTUS judges who’d want to void the American Constitution.
How about New York State government reform...starting with the Governor’s Office.

I don’t think the goal was to bring down the government.

Liberals would want police officers to ask if the perp had any medical issues that would prevent them from arresting them, but HIPPA won't allow it.
