Yeah, I picked up on that too. It gets worse with the younger crowd.
I live in northern Florida. I have a friend who got a job as the general manager of a 24-hour, dive fast food joint.
I ran into her about 6 months after she started this job and she had started talking partly in a slang, street talk that I didn't understand.
I ask her why she was talking like that. She said she wouldn't be able to interview, hire or communicate with the employees unless she did. They are all barely educated and lived in a different culture than her or I did, she told me.
She said sometimes she even has to act as a translator of sorts for customers who can't understand what an employee is saying to them.
And yet they all want $15 per hour pay. She said that many of them aren't reliable enough to show up for their shifts without even calling in. She told me she is constantly hiring new people to replace the ones she has to fire for not showing up to work. They want the job. They want the pay. But they don't want to have to work for it.
She never mentioned their race but I had to draw a few conclusions of my own....
thats a lot of grief and despair hangin there.
“Hey! dat mine! I worked hard to steal all dat”
or a book
Can’t stop laughing!!
