Are folks still rioting over Emmett Till and Rodney King? The blacks get all riled up for a bit but no movement can sustain that kind of energy indefinitely. The adrenaline/caffeine/whatever other drugs they are on wears off and life goes back to normal...until the next unarmed black man is killed. Not killing black men unless they are a credible threat to the officer's life would appear to be the key to breaking this cycle for good. Post #12 is correct. We need to de-escalate the situation, not throw gasoline on the fire.
