Despite public rebukes from several of his employees, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg resisted calls to label posts from President Trump with a warning sign in a similar manner to what Twitter did last month, according to media reports.
In a question-and-answer session with employees on Tuesday, Zuckerberg said the decision to leave up Trump's post where the president wrote when the looting starts, the shooting starts" was the right action for where we are right now," according to leaked audio obtained by Recode.
"We basically concluded after the research and after everything Ive read and all the different folks that Ive talked to that the reference is clearly to aggressive policing maybe excessive policing but it has no history of being read as a dog whistle for vigilante supporters to take justice into their own hands, Recode reported Zuckerberg said on the call, noting Facebook can still moderate Trump if it deems necessary.

Odd........................
Zuck just doesn’t want to lose his protection from being sued.
So Zuckerberg has to worry about being secretly recorded in his meetings?
I think his employees are not quite familiar with the laws.
If he is going to censor content then he becomes a PUBLISHER, not just a ‘platform’ and is then legally responsible under libel laws for many things he does NOT want to be responsible for.
He might also just hate being told what to do. In this case.
One of the high priests of tech, decided a POTUS is allowed to speak. Beyond belief how evil these tech corps have become.
Defiant? They’re resigning from Failbook.
In my LinkedIn feed, I’ve seen a few resumes of Failbook employees that have resigned over this.
There isnt anyone at FB that isnt eaisly replaceable in the ranks.
And none of them have any leverage today. So they are free to quit and enjoy trying to afford rent where they live.
Fire them.
Memo to employees note who signs your checks and who owns the company.
He should tell them who runs the company and signs their paychecks...
As have I.
Resigning with 40 million unemployed. Dumb.
Suckerberg’s leftist minions are revolting. Well, you get what you pay for.
No. Big Tech is almost immune to the problem, and techies who moral peacock hard enough like this are considered literally better than average applicants.
