A driver was injured in a head-on crash on Tuesday after several rocks were thrown from the back of an SUV. According to Pasco County Fire Rescue, crews responded to a crash at the intersection of State Road 56 and Hueland Pond Boulevard.
Fire Rescue said several rocks weighing approximately 15 pounds were thrown from the back of an SUV, through the front window of another vehicle.
Firefighters said the rocks were unsecured in the back of an SUV.
The driver of the vehicle was taken with serious injuries from the scene by a helicopter.
Further information was not immediately available.
Thrown by a human?
Thrown by the truck hitting a bump?
It wasn’t very clear. Wesley Chapel is near Tampa, which has had some problems.

Thrown by a human?
Thrown by the truck hitting a bump?

I suspect the latter...but the writing is as clear as mud.
The SUV did it all by itself. It meant to do it.

“Further information was not immediately available.”
Immediately available only if you have a crystal ball.
Maybe more information is available in the future.
Sounds like the latter. By hitting some kind of bump or depression in the road like a pothole maybe. But due to the absolutely horrible reporting it's impossible to tell.
Makes me feel lucky for the many rock chips I’ve received from dump trucks.
This is one reason why I got dash cams for my wife, our lovely daughter and myself.
Do you got a link to what you bought for dash cams?
Was it flotsam or jetsam? Flotsam falls off jetsam is thrown off. Long story about insurance a container ship on New Years eve and an insurance claim.
I sure hope was a tragic accident, instead of riot-related. I have a very dear niece who lives in Wesley Chapel. Its pretty ritzy and upscale from what Ive seen of it.
So, 15# rocks came out of the rear of an SUV (not a truck).
The SUV had to have an open rear hatch for that to happen.
Have been using a dash cam for years. Upgraded to new model last year. Love!
