Hennepin County Medical Examiner Declares George Floyd Death Homicide
FOX 21 ^ | 1 June 2020 | Site Staff

MINNEAPOLIS (FOX 9) – Fox 9 reports that the Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s report released Monday ruled the death of George Floyd a homicide.

The updated report states that on May 25, George Floyd experienced a cardiopulmonary arrest while being restrained by a law enforcement officer(s). Ex-Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin is now charged with third-degree murder and manslaughter in connection to Floyd’s death.

Earlier Monday, the attorneys for the family of George Floyd shared the findings of their separate autopsy, which determined that Floyd died of “asphyxia from sustained pressure” on his neck and back.

The new Medical Examiner’s report also notes other significant conditions such as arteriosclerotic and hypertensive heart disease; fentanyl intoxication; and recent methamphetamine use.

Last week, the Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office released a preliminary report in which it was determined that Floyd likely died from a combination of underlying health conditions, being restrained by police, and any potential intoxicants in his system.

There was reportedly no physical evidence that he died of asphyxia of strangulation.

I think you accidentally landed on the wrong website. You were probably looking for democratic underground.

I live just barely west of the Minneapolistan border. I can’t go anywhere and I can’t do anything because bleeding heart liberals like you think it is ok for thugs to burn down the city and we are locked down because of it.

When you are looking up the medical words that will show how Saint George died you should look up the law that gives President Trump the power to keep citizens safe by any means necessary..

But unlike 99% of the freepers I lke to wait for an investigation to be completed before making a judgement.

The investigation seems to be over. The medical examiner said the actions of the police contributed to Floyd's death and Chauvin is under arrest charged with his murder. About the only open issue is whether the other cops will be charged as well. Then it's up to a jury.

HTF do you know they weren’t tested? See, that’s why we wait for all the evidence to be presented in a court of law. You’re presuming cops are on drugs in the MPD and nobody ever tests them. So ridiculous.

An EMS responder tried to provide medical aid to the dying man. Knee-on-neck cop (with 17 prior excessive force complaints) pulled out his can of mace to prevent medical intervention.

Not one single word of merit in another rash of insults. Your posts have no value. Are you intoxicated? Is knee-on-neck cop your cousin? Sucks to be you.

I never said he deserved it! But he bears some responsibility for getting himself into that situation in the first place. This wasn’t a stop and frisk. A store owner called the cops on this thug who was trying to pass fake money. That’s a federal crime. It’s a shame that he’s dead but it’s also a shame that cities are burning and ppl are hospitalized in the aftermath of the dumb decisions these two men made!

“”””The investigation seems to be over.””””””””

It hasn’t even started. Have you somehow read the statements from the cops there? The EMTs? Witnesses? Have you seen all the footage from surveillance cameras in the area? Have other medical experts provided opinions?

When the black somali cop leaned over his partner and shot the white woman who was simply reporting a crime it took eight months to charge him.

That case was about as cut and dried as it can get. Yet most everyone here has abandoned due process, reasoning and logical thinking and have gone straight to the sentencing phase.

Take it up with the statutes of the state of Minnesota.
The guy was caught live on video in public in front of (white) witnesses (taking out your precious race-bating angle) continuing potentially deadly force on an unconscious handcuffed man.

A handcuffed man means he has a legal responsibility to provide aid.

A 19-year-veteran knows CPR.

And it was a fellow policeman who told him, on the spot, live, in real time, as it happened, the guy had no pulse.

The kneecap ex-policeman ignores it.

That is an open and shut 3rd degree murder conviction.
Because in Minnesota, intent is not required according to state law.
But “Depraved Indifference” is.

Nothing will ever save this cop.

BTW, he’s had ten prior excessive force accusations against him, since you love to dwell on the past.
One of those was shooting a guy going bezerk with a knife, so don’t count that one.

But guess who the county attorney used to be for at least part of his career? Who declined to pursue any of the charges, which might have gotten this killer cop off the street?

Amy Klobuchar. Democrat Party US Senator from Minnesota.
And until this blew up she was a hopeful for VP on the Biden ticket.

Looks like that’s blown the hell out of the water.

Oh — the oriental cop facing down the video takers has six excessive force charges against him in the past.
One was settled out of court for $25k, where he hit and kicked a handcuffed teenager in the mouth, knocking out teeth.

See, the paramedics said they’d been called by the cops early on, to treat “a guy with a mouth injury”.
They said that they were surprised, when they got there, that the victim was unresponsive and without a pulse.

Notice from the other videos when the paramedics arrive. No hurry at all.
The guy’s stone cold dead, no need to hurry.

PS Nobody likes a dirty cop, except other dirty cops. Ask Peter Stzrok or James Comey, right?

Cause my concern is the police literally getting away with murder.
This is Free Republic.
The Constitution is supposed to protect us from this kind of thing by government agents.

What part of that last line aren’t you picking up on yet?

No, of course not! But maybe if he hadn’t of resisted arrest for several minutes in the cop car and allowed them to restrain him so they could go to the police station to be booked and arraigned, George would be alive and awaiting his due process and trial. He’s not an innocent choirboy who was just getting his life together, and Chauvin isn’t the demon cop from hell like many here are saying.

So you still can’t figure out what the big words mean?

Originally I thought your moniker indicated you had some medical acumen.

Now I am thinking it is the name of someone who works in the “entertainment business”.

If the four participants were not police, and were on video holding a handcuffed man down by the neck, and continuing even after he passes out, urinates and/or voids his bowels, and after one of them discovers he has no pulse?

No bail. Immediate first degree murder on all four.

And you know that.

Actually I’m pointing out the reality that 10 times as many whites are the victims of violent crimes committed by blacks vs whites on blacks. Why are you so worked up over this case, which happened to be the exception, other than the media is focused on it so heavily? I guess I’m immune to their manipulation. 🤣

What selective video clip are you referring to?

Well, since we don't have video of every single second, from multiple angles of the entire incident, from the time he walked into the store, until he was murdered, the video is a 'selective video', and should therefore be completely disregarded.

Re: “Floyd died of “asphyxia from sustained pressure” on his neck and back.”

The Medical Examiner suddenly changed his mind?

Here is what the Medical Examiner told the Prosecutors when they wrote their Criminal Complaint...

“The autopsy revealed no physical findings that support a diagnosis of traumatic asphyxia or strangulation.”

“Traumatic asphyxia” includes the obstruction of normal blood flow to or from any part of the body.

Anyone can file a complaint against a cop. He had 18 in 19 years. Most were thrown out and one ended up being a formal reprimand in his file. He was actually commended once! And if what you’re saying is true, why didn’t the police chief fire him or the DA ever charge him with an offense? Don’t believe everything the media says and then pretend you’re informed.

This isn’t a racial issue. Stop trying to make it one. Dirty cops do much the same to white citizens, obviously.

If you’re a cop, and you don’t want to end up in jail on 3rd degree murder and manslaughter charges on $500,000 bond, don’t hold a handcuffed man on the ground by putting your knee on his neck for nine minutes, even after he’s passed out, and even after one of your fellow cops tells you he doesn’t have a pulse.

Especially not in public out on the street in front of several (white) witnesses (one of whom was a first responder) and on video.

I know it can be difficult for people to understand, so I’ll try to spell it out carefully.

The policeman arrested, kept his knee on the neck of a man he had arrested, for over two minutes, AFTER A FELLOW POLICEMAN WHO HAD BEEN HELPING HOLD HIM DOWN told him, hey, the guy doesn’t have a pulse.

On a busy street, in front of white witnesses, and on video.

If you don’t have a pulse, this is what a man on the street would call “Dead”.
Not faking.
And this isn’t “The Walking Dead.” Someone without a pulse doesn’t suddenly get up and reach for your gun.
You can get your knee off his neck, now. Not hold it there for another two minutes by the clock, on video.
And you’d probably at least better go through the motions of checking for a pulse yourself, OR doing CPR.

Otherwise, any jury in the universe will call it ‘Depraved Indifference”.
Which is the definition of 3rd degree murder in Minnesota.

If you knock someone unconscious who was in your home and legitimately tie the intruder up, are you then justified to cut off his arms and legs? Why or why not?
