I am not sure that is true anymore.

The "mostly peaceful protesters" provide cover and concealment for the rioters. The same organizations sponsor and assist both groups.

The "Good Guy/Bad Guy" division is successful at confusing opposition and delaying effective responses. We should be going after the sponsors. We are not doing that.

Please elucidate. What exactly would you like to see the LEOs and NG do with that 'fire power' you mentioned?

Are they just going to allow them to loot and burn entire cities nation wide? A show of force is now necessary, in fact, overdo at this point. I’m not sure what that show of force will look like, but it’s come to that now. I would definitely start with non-lethal and overwhelming numbers to quell this, but as the president said, this has to stop. If they escalate then woe to them, I guess we’ll have to play the escalation game. Kent state was an entirely different scenario, where the protesters were assaulting the guard by throwing rocks and bottles at them. That one escalated way too quickly in my opinion.

We can’t just police the law abiding protesters by standing their looking at them. The law abiding ones aren’t the problem. The gangs of thugs are the problem when it comes to destruction. We need to stop the looting and burning or at some point there will be nothing much left to defend anyway.
