You know, that's a huge over-reach by Sullivan's lawyers. The "Treason" comment by Sullivan was bizarre, it was inexcusable. The State at no point came close to charging Flynn with Treason (in fact the last person charged with Treason in the USA was Tokyo Rose and a few others of her ilk in the WW2 era).

Even Sullivan knew he had screwed up, and after a short break in the proceedings, walked back his comments.

I think continuing to try to run this absurd "treason" narrative up the flag pole (for what? Lobbying for Turkey is somehow treason?) -- that's a mistake on their part.

I think even 1/2 way fair-minded judges will say "enough of this sideshow - this is discrediting the judicial system, "You, Judge Sullivan, are running amok and sound like a breathless Teaching Assistant, not a mature, unbiased jurist"

I believe we are two weeks away from the Appeals Court slapping down Sullivan, ending the case and this finally being over for Flynn.

Can the rioters read? The average IQ of the people smashing up stores seems to be in the “1 SD below average” range. This case is sort of pitched to an audience about 30% smarter than them.

Funny you should ask that. Day before yesterday, I was watching some of the looters doing their evil thing. A horde of barbarians were busy looting a high-end clothing store while right next door, a Barnes & Noble was sitting there, completely untouched. Not a single one of them bothered to even look inside to filch a copy of “Don’t Steal This Book” . . .

Maybe Sullivan wants to be the hero in a new movie called “I Hate White Men”, not starring Haley Joel Osmont.
