They don’t rewrite the constitution, they only pretend to. That’s why we need to stand up against every single act of destruction against our freedoms.

I just finished a letter to the leaders of my church expressing just that opinion.

They are clearly constitutionally unknowledgeable and my letter was encouraging them that since government, the schools and the media don’t care, the only other institution is the Church

I had my hair cut last Thursday. I gave my stylist a 100% tip because she didn’t wear a mask. Today I picked up a few goodies at a food store and the guy (behind a Plexiglass screen) didn’t wear a mask, so I gave him a 100% tip.

Going for a pedicure today, the front door was actually LOCKED. Just to get in I felt like I was at a speakeasy decades ago. She orders me to put on The Mask before I could come in. So while she — Vietnamese, I think — holds the door open for me, she peers around like lions are ready to pounce. She locks the door. She walks me back to the sink and hovers while I wash my hands. I sit in my chair and she smacks a thermometer on my forehead.

Then she gives me a pen, and a paper full of disclaimer paragraphs. No sh!t ... I had to initial and/or sign more places than I did when pre-registering for major surgery this morning! Every place where “COVID-19 pandemic” was written, I crossed out “pandemic”, and wrote “hoax”. She looked at it funny, but I don’t think she recognized the word, “hoax”. THEN she shoves a Lysol wipes plastic container in front of me, opens the lid, and tells me to put the pen in there. Seriously???

OMG ... I was so angry!!

I went for a dental checkup and teeth cleaning today. I won’t bore everyone with all the details, but I had to wear a mask until entering the dental chair. Once I was seated, I had to swish some anti viral/bacteria concoction for 30 seconds. The teeth cleaning was strictly a scrap job. There was no high velocity water cleaning or even polishing at the end. Once I left the dental chair the mask was back on until I left the premises

“They don’t rewrite the constitution, they only pretend to. That’s why we need to stand up against every single act of destruction against our freedoms.”

One day a President or governor is going to tell a federal judge “No, your order is does not fall under the enumerated powers in the Constitution.”

The GOP could have addressed judicial overreach when it had control of both houses of Congress and the Executive branch. The lower courts were created by Congress and Congress defines the jurisdiction of the lower courts. Congress could have passed legislation specifically denying individual federal judges and the lower federal courts the power to interpret legislation by Congress or declare laws, or parts of laws, unconstitutional. Another missed opportunty thanks to Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell.

I have some spots to be checked raised, dry, scattered. I’m very fair skinned, from to much sun in childhood.

I just got a very nice email from a shop I have been eagerly awaiting reopening.

The email included two screens of instructions, information, contact precautions, rules that must be adhered to when shopping at their store.

I took one look at that and lost all interest in going. Period.

I politely emailed back with the request to let me know when they did away with all that, because I won’t be spending any money there until they do.

Oh, boy, was I ever tempted!! I had no choice. Have hip replacement surgery in a few days and needed to have this done before going into surgery. Any other time, I wouldn’t have even made it to the hand-washing sink before going back to my care.
