I’ve had it with wearing one. Shopping is a miserable, depressing, infuriating experience. And my damn glasses fog up. I’m doing everything I can online now. Shop local, my arse. If shopowners want to roll over for this crap, they will do it without my money.

‘Don’t try to make me wear a mask to enter your store, and I will happily sign any liability waiver your legal eagles can come up with.’

that’s all well and good, but enter most grocery stores these days without a mask and you will be set upon by the maskers, at least verbally, and, inevitably, physically...this is the legacy of this lousy period in our lives, that the populace has been turned against itself, for purposes of isolating independent thinkers...this is why I refuse to speak to some of those who’ve exhibited this behavior when this is over, and why I plan to leave town as soon as possible...

Apparently, rioting makes one immune to Covid 19.

One analogy I like is putting up a chain link fence around your house to keep mosquitoes out of your yard. The actual comparison of virus size and permeability of a cloth mask seem about right. Tell the panicked to stick with a plastic bag. Solves several problems at once.

Our grocery stores do not require a mask be worn.

the CDC says the disease “spreads mainly among people who are in close contact (within about 6 feet) for a prolonged period”

So if you are not in close proximity to people for an extended period, mask wearing is non sensical, period. And if you are outside in the sun moving, or seated apart, even more non-sensical.

“They cannot force us to wear a specific item of clothing.”

It was once believed THEY couldn’t make us buy health insurance either. Then Justice Roberts upheld Obamacare.

It was once believed THEY couldn’t take private property for the purpose of transferring that property to another individual/company for private purpose. Then the Supreme Court in the Kelo case ruled the takings clause in the Constitution did not prohibit government from taking your property to give to another.

It was once believed freedom of religion permitted members of a religious group to gather to worship without government interference. Then a week ago Justice Roberts joined with 4 other justices to permit THEY to ban religious assembly.

Court proceedings were once public in this country. Then the Patriot Act was passed, and confirmed by the Supreme Court, permitting THEY to hold secret court proceedings and spy on American citizens in violation of the Constitutional prohibitions against unreasonable searches and seizures and the Constitution requirement of due process. THEY can now listen to your phone calls, seize private property through civil forfeiture

All it takes is five Supreme Court justices to rewrite the Constitution or any law. “They” can make you whatever they wish if THEY decide to.

Many years ago, I told my late son, who needed a hair cut I would pay for his haircut.

What does he do? He took his electric shaver and started shaving until he was completely bald. I had to laugh, but from that time on whenever he needed a haircut, shaved his head.

Hitler came to power because the Germans were stupid because they let him as a foreigner come to power. He was an Austrian after all.

You can wear a cloth that is covering your nose and mouth. It is totally legal.

Anyone want to comment on why Chinese routinely wear masks, thinking they are lessening their chances of catching sicknesses and pollutants? Is their whole society nuts or stupdi? Does the population density and pollution make the choice wise or are they wasting their time?

I have not worn a mask since this whole thing started. I will be going to the Keys first week in July and if I need to wear a mask to get into a bar I will wear a mask.

I wore a mask the other day when I went shopping for a few groceries at the Fort Campbell Commissary. I was ready to take it off when I went through cash register to pay for my stuff, as it was very hard for me to breath, but I was told by the cashier that I had to wear it.

Wear masks, because the infected relatives of those rioting criminals (black, white and in between) drift through your suburban and rural stores while traveling between infested cities. Let them keep their commie diseases to themselves.

...paint strainer bags.

Good idea! I would never have thought of that.

"And my damn glasses fog up."

Get masks that fit snugly across the top with pockets for pipe cleaners sewn into them. The pipe cleaners should be removable for laundering the masks. That will stop the glasses from fogging.

"I’m doing everything I can online now."

Good. For two generations, main street, local teachers and politicians have produced the illegitimate children participating in riots or cheering them on. We need new blood in business, academia and politics.

It's the pollution. Anyone who has visited Beijing knows what I mean. You can actually feel the particulate pollution hitting your throat every time you inhale.

No mask for me.

I’m not sick, and I don’t believe that wearing a mask provides any protection from getting sick.

My take on this thing is the same as it was before this thing: Wash your hands and keep your snot locker clean - you’ll be fine.

I think masks are a virus collection device, even the N85 variety. Consider that virus particles are deposited on the outside of the mask where, unless you are in bright sunlight, they live for some length of time. The virus is small enough that you will eventually breathe it in since it is just sitting there, waiting.

Absolutely no breathing interference. Tried the gallon size...too small. The 5-gallon size works just fine. Seriously...bought them to strain paint but something clicked in my head. Voila! Plus, they’re cheap at Lowe’s.
