Correct me if I’m incorrect...
Even from the block over, if someone sees someone is being killed they can shoot the perp in order to save the life of the to-be/current victim.
I believe the requirement is that the person be in danger of being killed or harmed by said perp.
Nothing in the laws say anything about distance.

Correct, at least in my State. The use of deadly force is legal to protect yourself or someone else. I’m not sure if that’s the case everywhere though.
