Anyone know how designating Antifa a terrorist group makes any difference? What would that allow the feds to do that they couldn’t before?

Association to ANTIFA once suspected or proven, automatically gives probable cause to investigate and crack open their life. That is uniform across the entire LEO spectrum, local/state/federal.

From a DoD perspective to collect and retain information on a US person, there has to be an exemption. Terrorism is one of the exemptions. When the National Guard is federalized, they go by DoD authorities, not their states.

I used to work counter IED network issues for Uncle Sugar and Intelligence Oversight is a big deal in that area.
