China has a numbers problem. If you are talking about cannon fodder they got it. If you are talking about the level of troop quality we have they are not even in the ballpark and they have numbers but don’t have the delivery system to get them near us.

If you are talking about a naval war don’t blink or you will miss it.

There’s a new dimension in warfare: space. If you don’t look up, you will miss it.

Would not take that bet. US Navy is top heavy with brass that likes very expensive toys that are poorly designed and too expensive to lose. Navy looks good on paper, but not so much in the field. See USS McCain et al accident reports.

Surface Ship Command officer training was eliminated, it is now OJT. Bridge crews are poorly trained on very complex navigation equipment only a dedicated gamer would love; one can only imagine the level of training for all the other departments. This is to say nothing of the level of dedicated social experimentation will have on combat roles and efficiency when the shooting begins, like love spats between dykes causing accidents, etc, and sudden pregnancies requiring removal from theater, lowering ship readiness already pushed too far down. All common in peace time, disastrous in war time.

Hopefully, Navy subsurface assets and USAF assets will preform better.

On the civilian political side, if there is a war, expect Pelosi & Co to either support the Chinese indirectly like cutting funding for the Mil. All the MSN will be clamoring for surrender on Chinese terms. Antifa and others will be grabbing headlines demanding DJT be removed from office; Pencil neck will begin new impeachment inquires. It will be a mess.

“China has a numbers problem. If you are talking about cannon fodder they got it. If you are talking about the level of troop quality we have they are not even in the ballpark and they have numbers but don’t have the delivery system to get them near us.”

China has 1.435 BILLION people. At that level quantity is a quality of it’s own. Ask the Germans how it felt to face the waves of Russian soldiers that never stopped coming.
Stalin was willing to kill tens of thousands of his own people because he knew he had the numbers to burn.

The vast majority of those 1.435 billion people are committed to whatever the CCP tells them is the truth. The CCP has been telling them their economic problems are the fault of the US. Their people believe it and the vast majority would support a war against the US.
In 1940 Japan had 105 million people committed to living and dieing for the Emporer. Imagine, if you can, what Tojo could have done with a population of 1.4 billion.

Talking about delivery systems to move troops they can easily swamp Hong Kong, Taiwan, go to war with Vietnam, India and whoever else they can easily take a swing at.
Think we’ll set any of that out?

“If you are talking about a naval war don’t blink or you will miss it.”

A couple of questions.

1-How dependant are our naval assets, including carrier based aircraft, on GPS and other technologies?

2-After decades of Chinese spying and reverse engineering our technology can we feel even reasonably sure that the technology we depend on is secure from CCP manipulation?

Given the PC culture currently rampant in our military we can’t even keep our destroyers from hitting civilian shipping. How do we expect them to fight a war?
