The novel coronavirus uses the same strategy to evade attack from the human immune system as HIV, according to a new study by Chinese scientists.
Both viruses remove marker molecules on the surface of an infected cell that are used by the immune system to identify invaders, the researchers said in a non-peer reviewed paper posted on preprint website bioRxiv.org on Sunday. They warned that this commonality could mean Sars-CoV-2, the clinical name for the virus, could be around for some time, like HIV.
Virologist Zhang Hui and a team from Sun Yat-sen University in Guangzhou also said their discovery added weight to clinical observations that the coronavirus was showing “some characteristics of viruses causing chronic infection”.

Suppression of MHC molecules had also happened in other viruses such as some herpes viruses, said Zhang, who was not involved in the study.
He noted that the new coronavirus was not hijacking T cells and turning them into a means to reproduce, as HIV did, adding that the new virus was mutating at a much slower pace and the death rate was “much, much lower than for Aids”.
He said the body’s immune system had various ways to fight back. “What we need to bear in mind through this pandemic is that, though the virus may have some traits that are new or unexpected, the majority of patients recover,” Zhang said. “This should give us some confidence.”

CCP intentionally made this virus seem 10x worse than it was, to deliberately panic the West and the US in particular into shutting down.
Remember those people who dropped dead in the streets of Wuhan, that were splashed all over the papers everywhere? Did it occur to you how strange it is that that didn’t happen anywhere else on the planet?
There were similar videos out of Equador. Bodies washing up on beaches, mass graves, bodies at roadside waiting for pickup etc.
Was that real? No idea. I haven’t seen anymore videos like that since then. Not saying they don’t exist, but I haven’t seen them.
Now they say it’s running wild in Brazil. Is that real? No idea.
All I know is that a very serious game is being played, and there are liars everywhere.

well, the coronavirus must be doing a terrible job with that “strategy”, because most people recover from coronavirus(most actually develop antibodies without even knowing they’ve contracted the virus),whereas essentially no one ever recovers from HIV, but are simply kept alive by taking a daily panoply of antivirals their entire lives ...

The Chinese faked a protest too - tried to make it look like protesters had turned over a police car...but all the camera shots attempted to make it look like a large protest - when it was obvious it wasn't.
As for bodies piling up, I've seen reports from other countries, such as Italy, and even images of bodies in NYC hauled to the morgue in the back of an open pickup truck due to the number of dead; refrigerated trailers used to store them, etc.

We have POTUS to thank for things not getting as bad as they could have. We know a LOT more about the virus now than back then. Even so, there is still plenty we don't know as this study confirms.
Yeah, that’s was month’s ago... Lots of weird stuff going down with this virus.
I read/heard this over a month ago... this gives credence that the designer COVID of 2019, ‘gained a function’.
Some other country’s researchers did discover HIV segments, is about all I recall. At the time, I made mention that it might be airborne HIV. In the linked article, they mention the herpes virus which also hides in the body. But not even herpes is airborne. The unique and varied characteristics of the CV indicate to me it’s not a natural mutation that happened in the wild - more like in some lab.
An HIV test does not test for virus. It only tests for antibodies.
