When it comes to National Defense, the best Defense is a good Offense and the will to use it.
Offensive weapons are cheaper too.
With the crazy’s in charge in Iran and N. Korea’s push for nuclear missiles, we really really need a defensive missile shield system that can reliably shoot down all of a batch of 10 or so incoming missiles. That’s about as many those two countries could send-up.
That same system could take out an oopsy or rogue launch from Red China or Russia. We use the threat of an annihilating reprisal to deter China and Russia so we should keep up on updating our offensive strike ability.
