Former CBS News President Van Gordon Sauter delivered a scathing critique of news outlets, saying two out of three leading cable news sources, in particular, "are unrelentingly liberal in their fear and loathing of President Trump."
Sauter, who served as CBS News president on two occasions in the 1980s, asked in a Wall Street Journal opinion piece published on Sunday whether a large segment of the public will "ever put stock in journalism it considers hostile to the country’s best interests."
“The highly influential daily newspapers in New York, Washington, Los Angeles and Boston are now decidedly liberal,” Sauter wrote.
“On the home screen, the three broadcast network divisions still have their liberal tilt. Two of the three leading cable news sources are unrelentingly liberal in their fear and loathing of President Trump," he added, appearing to refer to MSNBC and CNN.
“The news media is catching up with the liberalism of the professoriate, the entertainment industry, upscale magazines and the literary world. Recent arrivals are the late-night TV hosts who have broken the boundaries of what was considered acceptable political humor for networks," he continued.
“To the journalists, including more than a few Republicans, [the president] is a blatant vulgarian, an incessant prevaricator, and a dangerous leader who should be ousted next January, if not sooner," he later added.
Sauter, also a onetime president of CBS Sports and Fox News, also asked what media coverage will look like if Trump wins a second term.
“How will a large segment of the public ever put stock in journalism it considers hostile to the country’s best interests?” he asked.

Newsflash: They’ve always been this liberal. The difference is now they are intolerantly liberal. They’ve become a bunch of hypocritical Karens who demand everyone think and act as they do yet excuse themselves when their own actions stray from their dogma.

The lockdown is the perfect storm for democrat states. The governors get to be irrationally tyrannical and the democrat population get to experience a high dose of fear, which keeps them in line. A democrat president said, “you have nothing to fear but fear itself (paraphrase?).” But because of the flippy quality of the democrat psyche, fear is the reigning culprit which leads to irrational behavior — like a woman swimming to Canada because Trump was elected. Fear rises in their mind and they are herd like to protect themselves. They border on and fluctuate between manic worshiping and violently condemning: Obama was God, Trump is the Devil. It’s extremist mindset for extreme democrat governors to rule over.

C’mon. Sauter knew exactly what he was doing , who he was hiring and the anti Reagan, anti Republican, Catholic bashing policies he condoned in the 1980’s. What is scary is that a majority of the American people are still influenced by these corrupt, anti American, pro globalist networks. They are a corrosive blight on the American nation. They are like invasive, ugly weeds on a beautiful lawn.

The advertising rates are going to be based on the ratings.
Fox News consistently has higher ratings than both CNN and MSNBC combined.
Sometimes I wonder if the people who runs CNN and MSNBC are more interested in making their political statements then they are in generating ratings. Is it more important to them to make their liberal political statements than it is to try to broaden their audience?

The media is our American version of the Soviet Union’s PRAVDA. Namely, the media is nothing but a propagandizing and brainwashing adjunct of the DEMOCRAT SOCIALIST PARTY.
Lack of viewers will drive both.
Not only are they losing viewers but they are losing influence and they know it.
ImVho, the major networks are NOT “liberal”.- Instead the “News” outlets are FAR LEFT & I ignore the self-important, DIMocRAT propaganda, foolishness, errant nonsense & OUTRIGHT LIES that they spew onto the public airwaves.
Further the so-called “major newspapers” are no better in 2020. = For example THE WASHINGTON POST is nothing more than a HOUSE ORGAN of the DNC/DNCC & the so-called “progressive wing” of the DIMocRATS Party.
Personally, I believe NOTHING that the “mainstream media” states that is more controversial than the latest weather report.
