Last time I checked, Trump is doing more than any president ever to protect our borders and bring manufacturing back to America.

Of course we are. The bureaucracy in both the State Department, Intelligence, and the military are riddled with interventionist holdovers from administrations going back to Bush The Elder. That and its standard operating procedure to have a convenient foreign threat to distract from a domestic crisis. Still, I believe the Monroe Doctrine is important in this day and age.
