At what point does a mental illness just become having a bad personality?
No one said much about the maturity level or IQ of this young gentleman. It would be curious to know if this were a high school drop-out (say from the 9th grade). Lets be honest, a lot of these retirement home operations do marginal background checks on their employees.
And autism is being used for people who are just plain violent & don’t belong in schools or the general population.
The severely autistic kids do not have bad personalities.
They are seriously twisted. They need serious medication and locked down environment.
Their families suffer too. No legal rights after the patient turns 18 and no residency programs to care for them.
People are upset about our past history with lobotomies.
These are the patients the surgery was designed for
Now we have medications that do similar things, except the patient can stop taking them.
