Why didn’t she ask ‘Who authorised the spying on the Trump family on inauguration day? Why? Will Grenell declassify this too?’ Sandra Smith either deliberately refused to ask that question realising the significance of Gowdy’s comment or didn’t realise the significance at all. It is poor journalism either way. She missed an open goal. She was presented with a scoop and blew it.
