Nevada will probably need unemployment checks longer than rest of the nation.
Moe Green would not be happy.
Go to a thousand folks who frequently go to Vegas and ask them their feelings on returning. For the rest of 2020, I doubt if you find more than one-third of them either in the financial situation to do so, or having confidence that things are hygienic enough to enjoy the stay.
New Jersey is in bad shape (and was before this Red Chinese virus); the loss of white-collar jobs in the northeast (closely tied to NYC) and the decline of the gambling in Atlantic City were probably irreversible before, and now the tourist season is going to be hurt. It isn’t just the government lockdown; a lot of people lost their jobs and therefore their spending money.
On top of that, both NJ and NY tried to replace solid economies with pseudo-economies of illegals and idle gibsmedats receiving gubmint freebies - and those tax-dodging workers among them aren’t receiving unemployment or stimulus (yet).
