Although Minnesota should be safe for Dems this year, Trump came mighty close to flipping it in 2016. Neighboring Wisconsin helped put him over the top electorally. Could help with upper midwest states, to shore them up.
At any rate, AK is probably as close as you can get to “not totally out of touch crazy” in the slim pickens Biden is stuck with.
