Good to know. Thanks. Though I have a 6 and it doesn’t update anymore, but when it finally breaks, I’ll need it! LOL

The way I see it, if I’ve been to Walmart or grocery shopping in the last two months, I’ve been exposed to coronavirus at some point.
Don’t think they aren’t keeping a list of those who have turned it off.
You have no idea how much it pisses me off that I have to have COVID 19 nonsense on my phone. Im seriously thinking of getting rid of it and just having a burner phone.
I’m pretty sure that by taking my iPad with me when I go shopping, I’m probably giving out all kinds of information on my location.
I saw a video where a guy used people’s location data that they were posting themselves and tracking them down to ask questions about stuff they had themselves posted on twitter, Facebook, etc. He was trying to illustrate just how careless a lot of people are with their personal information. Some of them were really mad at him, yet he had only used the information that they had willingly publicized to find them. Others were surprised, because they really had no clue.
In short, if you want privacy, you have to think about all of your activities. The social media is obvious, but other activities like going into a store and allowing its app to find your location. (Actually, one local store always gets it wrong.) Many people broadcast a lot of information about themselves daily.
Ping!
I dont have “Health” on my iPad Air (latest gen).
It is turned off by default, for now.
I have 13.5 on my phone but no Covid notification under health.
FYI Just updated. It’s OFF by default unless you have an app installed.

Covid-19 Exposure Logging
For now.
I am confused.
I don’t care if they notify me regarding Covid. I just don’t want to be TRACKED. How do I disable tracking? Is that possible? Just disabling notification doesn’t prevent me from being tracked, so my privacy is not protected just by disabling notifications.
Am I getting this right?

Then if you want to make sure it’s not tracking, turn of bluetooth and delete the Health app.
Yep,a Faraday bag is your friend.
“I dont care if they notify me regarding Covid.”
you might it the cops show up at your door without a warrant and order you and your family to “self-quarantine” for 14-days because they claim you were in contact with someone they were contact tracing ...
How is the infected person this app is to warn you about known to be infected? Is that persons phone somehow tagged with the information that he is currently dangerous?
And if so, how is that tag removed when he is no longer dangerous?
I just spent a considerable amount of time reviewing everything I could find from our immensely powerful CDC on this subject, starting here.
Within that link you will find
https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/php/principles-contact-tracing.html
within that one many pdf documents with detail. Find this principles-contact-tracing-booklet.pdf for a pretty clear outline.
I believe my first two questions above are absolutely critical in this whole concept.
At the moment I believe the only thing accomplished so far is a dramatic (and unconstitutional) intrusion into our civil rights with this Contact Tracing sham.
