Maltese Ambassador resigns after saying that Germany’s Merkel had “fulfilled Hitler’s dream” to “control Europe”

Maltese Ambassador resigns after saying that Germany’s Merkel had “fulfilled Hitler’s dream” to “control Europe” MAY 21, 2020 4:00 PM BY CHRISTINE DOUGLASS-WILLIAMS

“75 years ago we stopped Hitler. Who will stop Angela Merkel? She has fulfilled Hitler’s dream! To control Europe,” wrote Michael Zammit Tabona.

Tabona was blasted by the Malta News Agency for sharing views similar to those of the “far right,” anti-migration Matteo Salvini, Italy’s former Deputy Prime Minister, who once declared that he wanted nothing to do with Merkel, as well as French Prime Minister Emmanuel Macron, for ruining Europe.

Tabona’s views may not have been well received, but even the Dalai Lama has stated that with too many Muslim migrants, “the continent could become ‘Muslim’ or ‘African.’” Of course, the Dalai Lama was not averse to any particular race or creed, but he was concerned about the imposition of Islamic values in the EU.

Tobana did what many leaders do in the face of criticism from politically correct virtue signallers and Islamic supremacists. He cowered and quit, thus surrendering his own principles and will to preserve and protect Europe’s identity and rule of law.

“Malta Ambassador Says Merkel Has ‘Fulfilled Hitler’s Dream to Control Europe,’” by Jack Montgomery, Breitbart, May 11, 2020:

Malta’s ambassador to Finland has had to resign his post after saying that Germany’s Angela Merkel had “fulfilled Hitler’s dream” to “control Europe” on social media.

“75 years ago we stopped Hitler,” wrote Michael Zammit Tabona in a Facebook post commemorating Victory in Europe Day.

“Who will stop Angela Merkel? She has fulfilled Hitler’s dream! To control Europe,” he added.

Malta, as a former Crown Colony of the British Empire, was the lynchpin of the Allied presence in the Mediterranean for much of the war, and its population was bestowed with a collective George Cross — which still adorns the national flag today — for the long siege it suffered at the hands of the Axis powers.

The modern-day ambassador’s remarks, however, were not well received either in Berlin or the Maltese capital of Valetta, with foreign minister Evarist Bartolo telling the Times of Malta that he had been told to take down the post and promising the Germans would receive an apology for its “insensitive” nature.

Despite the florid terms in which they were expressed, the sentiments of the ambassador — now confirmed to have stepped down — are not unique in Europe, with commentators such as Britain’s Peter Hitchens having suggested that the European Union, in particular, is “the continuation of Germany by other means”…..

….Merkel’s proposed solution to this crisis was to force compulsory migrant redistribution quotas on other EU member-states at the European Council, even if they had completely opposed her decision to open the borders in the first place — a move which is still being fought out in the EU courts to this day.

What did Marx write; 'history occurs as tragedy and repeats itself as farce' or something like that.

How soon before we hear the chants of “Sig Heil, Sig Heil, Heil Merkel”?

She looked better then. These are the DDR equivalent of the ‘Young Pioneers’ or ‘DOSAAF”?

[ More likely ‘Allahu Akbar’. ]

She needs her footsoldiers to do her dirty work.

In that way, Merkel is a lot like American Democrats needing illegal immigrants to displace/replace Americans / American workers.

Same for the Boosh family.

Hegel remarks somewhere that all great world-historic facts and personages appear, so to speak, twice. He forgot to add: the first time as tragedy, the second time as farce.

— The Eighteenth Brumaire of Louis Napoleon
Kaiser Wilhelm II had the same designs on the continent. So in this great European dream, it is far more than twice.

Also a permanently flat tired economy is eventually going to make Islam attractive to a lot of unemployed or never employed young men as was the attraction of the Brown Shirts.

I have long believed that ROP is going to provide foot-soldiers for dictators. They have a long history of submitting to same.

The sort of questions posed by Man in the High Castle. If a Germany of another universe offered their assistance to this Germany would they accept to turn the world into a Greater Reich?

I have often commented that Germany is clearly the dominant country in the EU. And as the years pass Germany takes control of more and more of the EU’s power. They want an EU army now, of course. This, of course, is in line with the goal of he 3rd Reich. Britain breaking away spoiled the power grab somewhat. We can only wonder how it will be ten years from now??

What do you make of this? There's a lot of criticism of Merkel on the Internet—in German—and from the UK.

I was roundly cursed by a Dim for writing that Angela Merkel was DDR...and a former Communist.

Since the paternal side of my family was from Germany, I have followed events there for over 60 years. My visits there for genealogical research and sightseeing and the great Oktoberfest have afforded me the opportunity to talk with adults there of all ages.

In doing so it became clearly obvious to me that the spirit of bellicosity that prevailed prior to the end of WW-2, has been almost universally overshadowed by a psychological mindset of pacifism and globalism.

Indeed German men today cannot even muster the fortitude to confront the Islamic criminals in their midst who are raping their Frauleins in broad daylight!
