If Iran thought they could defeat Israel, they would have already done it. Iran recognizes an ass whipping when they see one. Egypt thought they could defeat Israel but it took them only seven days to realize they had made a very bad mistake. Iran uses proxies such as the Palestinians and Hezbollah to harass Israel, but Iran is not ready to bet the ranch.
