President Trump says he intentionally stayed out of negotiations on legislation to reform federal surveillance laws, but that he will closely review the final product before signing.

“They have a lot of views on FISA. I didn’t get involved. I purposely said to Mitch, 'You do what you want. We’ll take a look,'” Trump said, referring to Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.)

The Senate voted 80-16 last week to pass a bill with modest reform to the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act after rejecting deeper change pushed by privacy advocates including Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.).

Veto it, Trump is more then justified. It’s directly anti-Constitutional and the intel agencies have more then proven they can not be trusted with these kind of tools. Hell, they almost brought the country down with their abuse of fisa.

So there was an article awhile back which said this bill makes it harder to spy on Politicians, but much easier to spy on everyone else. Very Tricky.

Instead of spying on American citizens via FISA, how about kicking the jihadis and jihadi fellow travelers out of the country? Insane leftist, open border immigration policy is not an adequate excuse to turn us into a surveillance state.
