President Donald Trump lashed out at Fox News after host Neil Cavuto expressed shock at Trump's announcement that he is taking hydroxychloroquine as a prevention for the coronavirus.
The drug has not been proven as an effective treatment for the virus, and the Federal Drug Administration recently warned that there was a "risk of heart rhythm problems" and shouldn't be taken outside of a clinical or hospital setting.
Trump tweeted on Monday night that Fox News is not the same. "We miss the great Roger Ailes. You have more anti-Trump people, by far, than ever before. Looking for a new outlet!" Trump wrote.

Cavuto is simply an idiot. I was watching him when he went apoplectic at the realization that Trump just put the mainstream media into CHECKMATE with this most recent move. Cavuto got even angrier when he was unable to get the physician he was interviewing to say Trump taking prophylactic Hydroxychloroquine was a bad idea.

All of these irresponsible lying naysayers always leave out the zinc and refer to studies that only gave very, very sick patients just hydroxychloroquine (without zinc) when it was too late to any good. For best results HCQ+zinc therapy must be started as early as possible.
Also, the ongoing prophylactic dose of HCQ that President Trump is probably taking is less than 15 percent of the full, short term therapeutic dose for active COVID-19, so the risk of side effects from the prophylactic dose is about zero.
Hydroxychloroquine costs about 15 dollars a month for the full generic low cost version. However, the therapeutic regimen at the full rate only runs five days and, at the prophylactic dose rate, the ongoing cost is about 2 dollars a month. That is why this is a thorn in the side of big pharma.
