Somehow going after Obama is a huge no-no with dire consequences for the country and future Presidents. That rule sure was thrown out the window already with Trump don’t you guys think? Trump has already been prosecuted, or did you miss the Russia Impeachment sham?
The real reason Obama is untouchable is that taking down Obama would expose that the GOP cooperated with the Democrats to violate the Constitution and everybody in DC except President Trump was complicit.
That has been his magic shield throughout his crime spree.
Not only has the GOP been forced to cover his crimes, they sometimes participated and now they are undermining a President of their own party.
There is a very real danger that Democrats will try to prosecute Mr. Trump after he leaves office. I think that this will provoke a backlash from voters.
We are faced with several poisoned chalices. The obvious solutions to some of our immediate problems open the door to more systemic problems.
For example, the bar for impeaching a President got a lot lower this year.
