The top Democrats on the House and Senate foreign affairs committees launched an investigation Saturday into President Trump's Friday night firing of State Department Inspector General (IG) Steve Linick.
Rep. Eliot Engel, the chair of the House Committee on Foreign Affairs, and Sen. Bob Menendez, the lead Democrat on the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations, wrote letters to the White House, State Department and the Office of the Inspector General (OIG) to preserve all records related Linick's dismissal and to turn the information over by Friday, May 22.
“President Trump’s unprecedented removal of Inspector General Linick is only his latest sacking of an inspector general, our government’s key independent watchdogs, from a federal agency. We unalterably oppose the politically-motivated firing of inspectors general and the president’s gutting of these critical positions,” Engel and Menendez wrote in the letter to the White House.

In other news, the Democrats will investigate claims that June 7 will be the longest day of the year. This will have a major impact on women and minorities.

If it is going to prompt them to start an investigation then I’d advise PDJT to fire a whole load of holdovers. It keeps them busy, distracting them from destroying our country.

I am tired of it. Most Americans are tired of it. It’s exhausting trying to keep up with the non-stop investigations and “unprecedented behavior of the President” when he is not doing anything his predecessors did not do.
The GOP in the house and the senate needs to simply start making fun of them for every effort. Seriously. Just mock them. Instead, we will probably be treated to Mittens, Collins, and the usual suspects treating the “next big thing” with some kind of special gravitas. The media will go into a frenzy. It will all die down and they will be on to the next “big thing”.
Rinse and repeat.........
The only way to end this insanity would be for the GOP to take back the house this fall and retain the Senate. Hopefully America understands this.
