Gotta wonder how Inslee is doing against potential GOP opponents. Inslee’s 2016 margin wasn’t huge - 9% in a year when Trump was on the outs with many Republicans and independents who thought he was a liberal trojan horse. Now that Trump has proven himself to be solidly conservative, I expect many of those voters to give him another look, with some downticket impact, including the governor’s race.

Republicans will never retake washington state. only one county (king) decides most important elections. the rest of the state is fly over territory.
King County always waits to see how the vote has come in and then “finds” enough ballots to reverse the outcome of the election.
