Here’s the rule:
..............
If the establishment offers table service, create a daily log of all customers and maintain that daily log for 30 days, including telephone/email contact information, and time in. This will
facilitate any contact tracing that might need to occur.
...............
Okay, my grand-daughters want to go to Chuck E. Cheese (or any other restaurant). With what ID? It’s nearly all kids too young for IDs, much less cell phones or email addresses.
..............
The rule says “all customers”............no wiggle room there.
...............
It is obviously discriminatory. The purpose is to find sick people.....using private people to do it. Let’s ay someone comes up sick, the record of their visit is now a health record. Maintained by a restaurant?
................
That’s a violation of Federal law on patient records. All restaurants would be absolutely liable criminally and civily for the safekeeping of those records.
How about school lunch cafeterias......it says “establishment”
.................
no buffets...........how about hospital cafeterias? that don’t have servers?
..............
self-service yogurt bars? Sizzler? Hometown Buffet? They would have to close because of discrimination against their kind of business.
............
Jay, I can tell you don’t get out much.
