Back in the 50s, the polio vaccine was a Godsend. Only the very foolish would avoid it. I could never even go to county fairs until I had the vaccine.

It definitely was. In ‘58, the doctors thought I had polio but it turns out I didn’t. What I did have was bad, though, and has negatively impacted the last 60 years of my life. Still, polio would’ve been much worse.
