I have said for years that Russia would never have wanted Trump and, quite to the contrary, would have wanted Hillary. Trump promised to do what Reagan did to destroy the USSR, which was a large military buildup combined with swamping world oil and NG supplies to drive prices down. Putin views the fall of the USSR as “the biggest geopolitical tragedy of the 29th Century,” and he is going to favor a guy to head his most powerful adversary who wants to implement the same policies, policies that would severely weaken Russia?
