Gov. Tom Wolf is happy to welcome anyone to Pa., including President Donald Trump, but he does have a request for anyone visiting the commonwealth as it continues a phased reopening amid the coronavirus pandemic.
Wolf said during a conference call with reporters Tuesday that the President did not inform him of Thursdays planned stop at a Lehigh Valley medical distributor, Owens & Minor Inc., and from the sounds of it, that isnt a surprise.
That said, the Democrat has repeatedly said during this global health crisis that he cant limit intrastate travel, which certainly applies to a trip made by the Republican Commander in Chief.

Anybodys welcome to visit the state, Wolf said. I would urge anybody coming to Pennsylvania to respect our efforts to stay safe, to keep people safe and businesses, wherever he visits. I hope he does everything in his power to keep employees safe.
Plenty of attention will be paid to whether or not Trump wears a mask when visiting the facility, as face coverings are a requirement for anyone entering a businesss physical location. According to Leigh Valley Live, the purpose of the Presidents trip is to discuss coronavirus testing and efforts to build the nations stockpile of medical equipment, according to a White House official.
Pennsylvania has always been a state that welcomes visitors and we will continue to do that no matter who it is, Wolf said.
Wolfs going to now role-play the perfect politican because the citizens have turned the heat up bigtime!......
“How it went Wolf and Trump boggles my mind.”
He campaigned as a moderate in 2014. He also ran against a Republican that raised PA’s gas tax to a record high in the USA. After winning, he went full left.
Wolf lucked out winning reelection in 2018 ... the RNC didn’t do anything to help any candidates in PA (aside from a couple in the House) + Wolf seemed to be riding that mini-blue wavelet in 2018.
One final note ... up until recently, PA always saw a cycle where a Repub would serve 2 full terms followed by a Dem that served 2 full terms. That cycle was broken in 2014, but I think a new one will be starting in 2022 :-).
Buckeye McFrog:
“Back when Wolf won his first term this state was having a hissy fit over ex-RINO Gov. Tom Corbett and his FIFTY CENTS per gallon gas tax.
Another case of not so much the Democrat winning as a RINO stepping in it, bigtime.”
I think the Joe Paterno scandal had a lot to do with it.
