God article but notably missing from this is the debacle in Iraq over supposed WMDs which it turns out never existed. The bigger point is that the foreign policy “experts” should never be trusted out of hand

They did exist, but Saddam Hussein kept moving them around, so the inspectors couldn’t find them. He used one excuse after another. Are you really that ignorant?
