Reveley is no longer there. He was fired after he had a cross removed from an original windvane on the Wren Building, built in 1693.

The removal sparked a round of alumni backing out of financial commitments to the school, to the tune of tens of millions of dollars.

My apologies. Reveley is gone. But he was not the head of school that removed the cross.

It was Reveley’s predecessor, Gene Nichol, who removed the cross from Wren chapel. Nichol was fired a couple of years later over a controversy involving his approval of The Sex Workers’ Art Show on campus.
