Nov. 2 would be a perfect compromise.

I got mine done in late March. Why delay it so long?

If you give people that long to do their taxes, they will take that long to do their taxes. I work with people that get refunds, and they wait until April 15th to file for some reason. They are incredibly lazy.

How about eliminating the income tax entirely, since the Fed has now established that all the currency the government needs can simply be wished into existence?

Alas, my wife and I paid our taxes in February. But, for those who don’t know, the $1200 wuhan virus relief check doesn’t count as income and for those over 70 1/2, you do not have to take the RMD from your IRA—if you’ve already taken your 2020 RMD you can put it back, but you have to do it the right way.

Heck, once they moved it from April 15, it’s a cinch no one is going to pay their taxes this year at all.

Except me.

At zero percent interest, I can’t really see much advantage to this. Am I missing something?

Why tax us at all, anymore??

We’ll never pay off what is owed already, so what the hell to we have to lose by printing more Benjamins with a zillion zeros on them!?

Mr President. Some have got something better. Get rid of the income tax altogether and go to a national retail sales tax.

Collected ONCE at the cash register like those with state sales tax pay.
