Gov. Murphy extends New Jersey coronavirus public health emergency another 30 days

New Jersey is extending its public health emergency over the coronavirus pandemic for another 30 days, Gov. Phil Murphy announced Wednesday.

Murphy signed an executive order that will keep the declaration in place through at least June 6.

Once again - don’t just blame the DemRats on this one. President Trump and our other Republican “leaders” are just as complicit in this. President Trump could easily order AG Barr to prosecute Murphy for Deprivation of Rights Under Color Of Law or countermand Murphy’s decree and order the State opened up - using the National Guard to enforce it if need be - yet he has done NOTHING of the sort.
All bark, no bite.

These Blue State Governors have become dictators. Their States no longer have functioning legislatures or courts, so all law in those States come from them. Article IV, Section 4 (the Guarantee Clause) of the Constitution says every State is to have “a Republican Form of Government.” One-person rule in a State violates the Guarantee Clause and needs to stopped by the People or by the federal government.

While I disagree with Trump’s actions in all this from the beginning, I think his hands are tied by the panic that the msm and many on this forum have instilled in people. Weak people are like children and panic spreads like wildfire among them. The rest of us Americans will take quite a bit before we take actions. But once unleashed, we fight to the end. I suspect it won’t be long until we the People find ourselves in a shooting war with our own local and state governments. Granted it is the solution that our Founding Fathers instructed us to use if it came down to it.

Exactly. Like in WA we have this tin horn governor that acts just like a socialistic dictator. By the time he finally opens up WA for normal(?) commerce there won’t be businesses and there won’t be jobs anymore.

Murphy’s orders are capricious and irrational... borderline sadistic. His motivation is purely political and suspect of wanting to maximize damage to the economy so he can suck on the stimulus aid titty and cry to the Feds asking for pity on his states unfunded liabilities and bankrupt pension system which at present is close to a deficit of $130 billion.

The guys a snake-oil salesman.

Great leaders are those willing to go against the media and public opinion.

Trump not doing anything to counter that is just a sign of his own weakness.
He has yet to have Hillary or any of the Deep State arrested/prosecuted despite ample evidence.
He has only managed to get a few dozen miles of wall built in his 1s term.
Instead of Steve Bannon and General Flynn in charge of his Cabinet we wound up with Kushner and his merry group of NeoCons.

In defense of Murphy (much as I hate to do this), he’s got to deal with a situation that most governors outside the Northeast don’t have to deal with: He’s in charge of a small state that is sitting between two large infected sh!t-holes (New York City and Philadelphia). There’s no way in hell he’s going to relax these restrictions while he has to be concerned about infected mutants from those dumps flooding his state.
