Illinois has its own Emergency Management Department (coincidentally, Pritzker is relying upon the same statute to exercise emergency powers — problem for Governor Creosote is that these powers are intended to be utilized for a maximum of thirty days and he is way over the limit) which was woefully prepared due to waste and underfunding.
This is a classic example of blame shifting. Illinois is unprepared, so Feds bail us out.
Pritzker also blew $17 million on purchasing defective PPE from the Chicoms.
The Feds built an emergency hospital at McCormick Place based upon Jabba’s whining which was woefully underutilized and is now being dismantled as unnecessary.
