There is nothing that says he cant be VP.

The 12th Amendment

But no person constitutionally ineligible to the office of President shall be eligible to that of Vice-President of the United States.
It's the 12th, not the 22nd, that applies here. Obama served two complete terms, so he's ineligible to be President again. Therefore, he's ineligible to be Vice-President, too.

Precisely. It is amazing how many Americans cannot grasp that simple Constitutional rule that no one ineligible to become President may be elected Vice President.

I'm old enough to remember William F. Buckley, Jr., an otherwise brilliant man, suggesting that Barry Goldwater pick Dwight D. Eisenhower as his running mate in 1964. Not that Ike would have accepted anyway and Goldwater still would have lost, but Ike was ineligible.

“Obama served two complete terms, so he’s ineligible to be President again”

Nope. He just can’t be ELECTED President again. The Constitution, however, does not even mention Presidential elections.

That is the 22nd amendment not the 12th but still a valid point. Thank you
