Absolutely right. I don’t know why this simple principle is so difficult for some on our side to grasp. ESPECIALLY when it comes to Congress, there is zero justification for conservatives to refuse to vote for the republican in a general election. Personality, or how well you like or dislike someone personally, is irrelevant. It’s just a head count; get more Republicans than Democrats into the House or the Senate, and we get to push our agenda forward. Even though some of those Republicans will inevitably be RINOs, get enough Rs in there overall and the true conservatives will at least have a chance to implement conservative policies. Dig in your heels and demand “purity” from every single candidate, then we’d better get ready to watch dems control everything and the true conservatives forced to stand on the sidelines.
I know you were talking about a local candidate, but you reminded me of this frustrating behavior related to Congress.
