A broad majority of Georgia voters support a statewide shelter-in-place to combat the spread of the coronavirus, according to a University of Georgia survey released as Gov. Brian Kemp debates whether to extend stay-at-home orders set to expire Thursday night.

The survey found about one-half of registered Georgia voters support the mandate that took effect April 3, and an additional one-quarter of voters “somewhat back it.” Only about 10% of Georgians oppose the idea; the rest are neutral or undecided.

And roughly 62% of Georgia voters disapprove of Kemp’s decision to ease restrictions on restaurants, theaters and close-contact businesses such as barbershops and nail salons over the past week, a measure that was strongly criticized by Democratic leaders, prominent local mayors and President Donald Trump.

Might even be accurate. All our local restaurants are refusing to reopen, and the online reaction has been overwhelmingly positive. Just one person dared to say he wished he could go out to eat--and he got loads of flak.

This is the extremely left wing Atlanta Urinal Constipation. You must take that understanding and factor that in. The accuracy is dubious at best.

It is a matter of individual choice.

Gee whiz. Stay at home until you feel safe.

F’ that.. been to the local brewery on Monday and Today. They’re playing it safe with outside seating and undercover tables 6” (more like 10’) apart which is unnecessary in my opinion.

I’ll continue to help them since I missed several weeks.

COVID-19 is BS and no worse than the flu... anything else they tell you is more BS.

HERD IMMUNITY, that’s the only way like every other virus.

Polls are designed to push news, not actually measure them. The wording of this poll in particular would be interesting. We’ll see in 2-3 months who is right (my money is on Kemp)

Life is simple

If you are a small business owner and don’t feel it’s safe to open - don’t open.

If you are an individual and don’t feel it’s safe to go out - don’t go out.

Biggest gathering place around here is the local grocery store. Plenty of people working and plenty of people buying.

In other words, Atlanta is bunkered in while the rural areas go back to normal.

But that 38% that is for it are mostly Republican voters that STRONGLY support opening up. Kemp could see his goose was cooked if he didn’t open up.

Nearly a 50-50 state now. So all Democrats say no, about 20% of Republicans say no, the other 80% of Republicans say open now!!!

Just got back from my third trip to the gym since Friday. Trump can kiss my backside!!!

What was the question? Do you 1. want businesses to reopen causing the death of thousands and a rain of fire or 2. do you want to shelter in your house for just a little while longer?

I am willing to bet they used every leftist Talking point we have heard since the beginning about “staying home, saving lives, flattening the curve, etc.” And talked about how they felt good doing it

So let the 62 percent bibernate until there is a vaccine.

If you call such a miserable existence living, I truly feel sorry...
