I don’t think it’s a mistake. Of course there will be special protections, etc, and people don’t have to work there if they don’t want to. But most of these workers are on the younger side, certainly under 60, and even if they get it will be just fine.

Maybe this can turn the tide on the (politically motivated) panic.

How do you figure that? I don't see a down side to this politically. I see a massive down side if he hadn't done it.
