Uncle Joe, pick another word besides ‘intercourse’.
For most Americans, that word has one meaning only, and economics has nothing to do with it.
Well, economics can come into play .... depending on your profession.
It’s a good word, in this case.
What’s crazy is that, with all that’s wrong with Joe Biden, this is what we decide to shine a spotlight on.
It's a real thing, but a very archaic usage.
When I was in grade school the smart kids would ask their buddies this question, “Do you know a four letter word ending in K that means to have intercourse?” The answer of course is TALK! Perhaps we who grew up pickin cotton and walking behind a mule were more sophisticated.
Of course the truth is that the English language is not taught in school the way it used to be taught. If I had said in the fifth grade, “Me and my brother are goin’ fishin’ tomorrow”, my teacher would have scolded me severely. Now you might hear an ex president or almost anyone else speak that way.
There is no way that guy is aware of what state he is in let alone anything he is saying
“For most Americans, that word has one meaning only, and economics has nothing to do with it.”
Even though he used it perfectly in his quote.
Our founders used it in this context in multiple writings.
Most economics texts refer to economic intercourse.
Just sayin’
