Greatest Generation, meet the latest generations. The United States is in the grips of a global pandemic unlike anything ever experienced by baby boomers, Gen Xers, millennials, Gen Z, or whatever you prefer to call the descendants of the G.I. Joes and Rosie the Riveters who fought, each in their own way, to save democracy and preserve freedom.

There is a major flaw in this logic. Our country counted nearly 500,000 lives lost, sacrificed, in order to defend our liberty and preserve the liberty of our allies. In this so called war on Corona, we have sacrificed our liberty to preserve lives.

People actually died in WW2

No generation can compare to the Greatest Generation! End of Story!

My grandparents would never have put on masks to go grocery shopping. Would not have allowed a Governor to tell them to shut down their business.
No. Not even close.

I had to return to my office today after working from home for a month. I guess I’m just like the guys who stormed Omaha Beach in 1944! /s

The one comparison you can make if this c-— doesn’t end soon, you will find more and more store shelves empty because the food chain is beginning to be affected. So, be forewarned.

It hurts me that anyone could make that comparison without throwing up.
Our citizens are soft morons. We deserve what is coming our way.

Thats my point in posting and criticizing this article. We diminish the sacrifices of that generation by claiming we too are fighting like they did .
To: LoveMyFreedom
Yeah ... they often cheered as FDR kicked the Constitution to the curb for a fistful of social programs. Who can compare to that?

In this so called war on Corona, we have sacrificed our liberty to preserve lives. A better analogy would be if Americans in 1941 had shit their pants, hidden under their beds and abandoned Europe and the Pacific to Germany and Japan.

Yeah. Remember AOC said “climate change” is our young generation’s WWII before the virus stuff. What heroes.
I think their group sorrow over cancellation of favorite big TV series hits them like Guadalcanal or the Battle of the Bulge did./s
