TEL AVIV An Israeli hospital will begin testing COVID-19 patients with medicinal cannabis, which is known to have anti-viral properties, as part of a new experimental treatment.
Researchers are investigating cannabidiol, the non-psychoactive component of cannabis also known as CBD, can slow down the spread of the virus and stop moderate patients from turning critical.
Dozens of COVID-19 patients in moderate condition at Ichilov Medical Center in Tel Aviv are expected to be treated.
Barak Cohen, a senior anesthesiologist who is in charge of managing the hospitals coronavirus response, stressed the treatment would alleviate symptoms by using a component of the cannabis plant that is considered safe and non-addictive.
Separately, researchers at Tel Aviv University have begun developing a CBD-based drug that has been shown to be effective against inflammation for coronavirus-infected lung cells.

lol...Pretty funny cuz I was thinking CBD cures everything. Judging by all the CBD commercials on the radio/TV and the CBD shops that have popped up EVERYWHERE in the Houston metro.
Had me curious for a bit until the claims that CBD has anti-cancer properties, arthritis, tinnitus..on and on.
Never heard it would help tinnitus.
Will research.

Not much in the way of giggles from CBD.
I did read somewhere that engineered visas, because they are not naturally occurring, tend to mutate over time into *less* harmful forms. So, that's a good thing.
